Observing Remembrance is different this year...like so much else has been. But an extraordinary poppy-themed display of painted pebbles has been put together by our Scout Group (the Explorers, Scouts, Cubs, and the Beavers). Scout leader Dan Haynes finished setting out the pebbles on Saturday 7 November: the stone poppy can be seen next to the War Memorial on the Green, where it lies under the watchful gaze of the Tommy who stands guard at this time of year.
Dan thinks it looks amazing, and would like to thank everyone who took part for their hard work and enthusiasm. Needless to say, Spotlight shares Dan's view - and reckons that a few minutes' contemplation there would be well worth the time.
Our debt to those who have given their lives endures; and so does our Remembrance. Just like the stones themselves.
